About these terms
These terms apply when you use StackedGamer, whether you browse, buy, or sell. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use StackedGamer.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can’t be limited.
What StackedGamer is
StackedGamer is a marketplace where independent sellers sell Steam keys and gifts to buyers. Sellers, not StackedGamer, sell the items listed. We provide the marketplace, deliver keys after payment, and help when something goes wrong.
StackedGamer is independent and is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or Steam.
Your account
- You sign in with Steam. Keep your Steam account and your wallet secure; you’re responsible for what happens through them.
- Addresses linked to your account stay linked permanently. A wallet’s own key can also sign in to your account, unless you turn that off; smart wallets, such as Coinbase’s, sign in with Steam instead.
- We may restrict, suspend, or close an account to protect the marketplace, for example if we suspect fraud or a breach of these terms.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your account page. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and why.
Buying
- To buy, your Steam account must not be limited.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and paid in ETH on Base. The ETH amount is fixed when you choose Buy now and stays valid for 15 minutes. The Base network fee is extra and doesn’t go to us.
- Before buying, check the region restrictions, activation deadline, and product details shown on the offer. A key that doesn’t work because of these isn’t faulty.
- Offers with an activation deadline stop selling at the end of the day before it (UTC). Activate the key by the deadline.
- Keys are delivered as soon as your payment is confirmed. By paying, you ask for delivery to start right away and accept that, once your keys are delivered, you can’t cancel the purchase or change your mind, including under any legal right of withdrawal for online purchases. If a key doesn’t work, see problems and refunds.
Selling
Selling requires an approved application. As a seller, you agree to:
- only sell keys and gifts you obtained legitimately and have the right to sell;
- make sure every item is unused and matches its listing, including product and regions;
- sell each item only once, and not offer it anywhere else at the same time;
- respond to disputes and work with buyers and support to resolve them; and
- keep your sales on StackedGamer.
Our fee is 5% of each item sold, with a minimum of $0.01, taken from the sale. About 14 days after purchase, each sale, less any refunds, is credited to your payout address in the payment contract, and you withdraw it from the Balance page. You’re responsible for any taxes on your sales. We may remove listings or suspend sellers who don’t meet these terms.
A listing with an activation deadline stops selling at the end of the day before it (UTC). You can see its unsold keys for 30 days after the deadline; then we delete them.
Payments
- Payments go into a smart contract on Base, not to StackedGamer. For 14 days the payment can be refunded, only to the address that paid. After that, the seller is paid.
- Blockchain payments can’t be reversed. We can’t recover funds sent to a wrong address, or help if you lose access to your wallet.
- Refunds and earnings are credited to an address in the contract, and withdrawn from the Balance page.
Problems and refunds
If something is wrong with an item, report it from your order. The seller and our support team will work with you to fix it, for example with a refund or a replacement. Report within 7 days for the best help: refunds through the contract are only possible within 14 days of payment.
Support is free, but we can’t guarantee a particular outcome. Our support team decides disputes fairly, based on what happened and the evidence provided. How disputes work.
Public information
Orders, reviews, and seller histories are public so buyers can make informed choices. Buyers are never named, and your Steam details are never shown. A sale the buyer hasn’t reviewed gets an automatic positive review, labeled as automatic, when the seller is paid; the buyer can replace it. Payments on Base are public by nature, but we never show who an address belongs to. See our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don’t use StackedGamer for fraud, to sell stolen or invalid items, to mislead or harass other people, to arrange trades outside the marketplace, or to interfere with the site or the payment contract.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep StackedGamer running smoothly, but we provide it as it is and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for what sellers sell beyond the dispute process above, for decisions Steam makes about your account or games, for changes in the value of ETH, or for problems with the Base network or your wallet.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll let account holders know about important changes before they apply. Using StackedGamer after a change means you accept the updated terms.
